2027 CSWE Election Openings - It's Your Time to LEAD 

CSWE is seeking nominations of qualified candidates to serve on its Board of Directors (BOD) and National Nominating Committee (NNC).  Our governing bodies are instrumental to supporting the work of CSWE through their contributions to fiduciary oversight, strategic planning, and generative thinking.  Service on a governing body provides opportunities for networking and expansion of leadership skills while contributing to our mission to ensure and enhance the quality of social work education. 

The Board of Directors oversees and approves all CSWE programs, plans, and budgets.  Board members are expected to attend at least 4 meetings a year, including the Annual Conference and Spring Governance.  Additional meetings may be scheduled as needed.

There are six (6) vacancies on the BOD: One (1) Chair-Elect; One (1) Vice Chair/ Secretary; One (1) Practice Representative; One (1) Graduate Faculty Representative; One (1) Graduate Program Representative; One (1) Undergraduate Faculty Representative. 

The National Nominating Committee is responsible for nominating and preparing slates of candidates for CSWE’s Board of Directors and the National Nominating Committee.  Candidates must be able to attend the NNC meeting connected to the Annual Conference and participate in additional meetings including November and/or December.  Additional meetings may be scheduled as needed.

There are six (6) vacancies on the NNC: • One (1) Graduate Program Representative; Three (3) Undergraduate Program Representative; Two (2) Graduate Faculty Representative. 

BOD and NNC members must maintain their active CSWE membership status throughout their term of service. 

All positions are 3-year terms, beginning July 1, 2027, ending June 30, 2030.

Nominations are due by Tuesday, December 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM (EST).
